Wedding Video Moments FAQ’s/Terms

  • Can you explain what makes your Wedding Video Moments service different compared to traditional Wedding Videography?
Traditional wedding videography is mostly choreographed and delivered in a curated and movie-like style, usually with added cinematic effects and background romantic music. It often involves a lot of posing, special setups/equipment, two or more video camera operators, and many hours of editing afterward. Thus it can be rather expensive.
    >>> Wedding Video Moments involves no posing, no cinematic effects, no highlight reels, and no added background music. Instead you get a set of video clips (typically 30 seconds to 5 minutes long) recorded in a candid and documentary style, featuring all the fun, upfront and behind-the-scenes action, drama, special parts, and so much more! Some of the video is taken with a tiny video camera attached to myself, which provides a really unique view of many key wedding moments.

  • Do you take video of the wedding ceremony, and formal parts at the reception?
Yes, you will get the majority of these important moments recorded, plus many more!
    >>> Please note that longish ceremonies (e.g. Church) and extra long speeches may be limited in some cases.

  • But what if my guests take videos with their iPhones?
Yes, they sometimes will, but most likely the quality (especially the audio) will be poor quality and usually taken from bad positions and/or angles, not to mention bad light. You can’t really rely on your guests to capture all that much, and then you’ll have to ask them for it all after your wedding.

  • Where are the Wedding Video Moments stored?
All the ‘Video Moment’s, after editing, are uploaded to a FREE ‘Digital Wedding Album’ ($550 value) that every couple gets. They are easily played on any device and can all be downloaded and shared via a password-protected link.

  • What is the video quality like?
To quickly capture as much as possible, I use smaller action cameras that record in 4K. The resulting video is good quality and is edited/colour graded afterward in professional video software. Each video clip is optimised and suitable for uploading to social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook if you choose to do so.

  • What about privacy?
I do not record anything inappropriate, and I always respect privacy. Additionally, all the editing is done by myself in my own office here in Melbourne, and is never seen by anyone else. I do not outsource the editing process to places in India or China like so many other wedding videographers do these days. Thus, yours and your guests privacy is fully protected.

  • Do you record every single moment that happens during a whole wedding day?
Unfortunately, that is impossible because weddings are filled with thousands of moments, and no-one person can be everywhere at the same time. I aim to record as much of the major events as possible, plus a lot more that goes on behind the scenes as well as some details where applicable.

  • Do we get a cinematic highlight video set to beautiful music?
    No, please read above.

  • How many Wedding Video Moments do we get?
This will largely depend on how many hours I am at your wedding, the number of guests, and what is going on. As a ballpark figure, you will get at least 20 to 50+ video clips that are typically each 30 seconds to 5+ minutes long.

  • What is the cost?
Wedding Video Moments are very cost effective, especially when combined with one of my wedding photography packages, from $500. Or the service is also available just by itself from $800. Contact me for more pricing details.
